The Afterschool Programs of Lancaster has one goal: to provide programs and services that enrich the educational, social, and cultural opportunities of students and families in the Lancaster community. With the help of 68 community partners and 30 volunteers, the Afterschool Programs of Lancaster is able to provide services in Lancaster’s five elementary schools and educate, improve, and nourish the children and families in our community.
The Afterschool Programs of Lancaster delivers high quality programs that are proven to positively impact student outcomes in academic performance and provide educational enrichment for students, furthering their academic development outside of the school day.
The Afterschool Programs of Lancaster improves the lives of Lancaster’s youth by creating programs that foster positive social and emotional behaviors and engage families..
Because food insecurity is proven to impact all aspects of child development, The Afterschool Programs of Lancaster nourishes the students in the Lancaster community by providing daily nutritious snacks and a Free Summer Lunch program.

The Afterschool Programs of Lancaster has been fortunate to receive these grants and continues to grow with annual enrollment of more than 280 children within the seven locations we serve.
